Hi everybody!

I have opened this thread in order to create a space where all who wants to take practice and improve their English writing skills are welcome.

I know that learning a foreign language is difficult and I do a lot mistakes too when I write, but I have also found out that the best way to improve own ability is exactly by training and by writing as much as possible.

You are allow to write everything you want and give advice to other users in order to correct their grammar. Obviously, in this thread the main rule is writing in English.

Whoever wants to join me is welcome! [SM=x92702]

We need Randall for this, he's the one with the best English skills around here.

In the town where I was born
Lived a Drake like the Sea
He was blue and all his life
He was King without a Queen

Yet somehow he had a son
And we wondered how it'd been
So we searched in woods and caves
This mysterious elven Queen

We're all searching for the hidden Queen
For the hidden Queen, for the hidden Queen
We're all searching for the hidden Queen
For the hidden Queen, for the hidden Queen

And all the Sirs and all the Lords
And many more of them, off they go
Many goblins they will slay

We're all searching for the hidden Queen
For the hidden Queen, for the hidden Queen
We're all searching for the hidden Queen
For the hidden Queen, for the hidden Queen

And we searched in war and peace
Stirring up our loyal steeds
through the dew, but not a glean
Of this mysterious elven Queen

We're all searching for the hidden Queen
For the hidden Queen, for the hidden Queen
We're all searching for the hidden Queen
For the hidden Queen, for the hidden Queen

We're all searching for the hidden Queen
For the hidden Queen, for the hidden Queen
We're all searching for the hidden Queen
For the hidden Queen, for the hidden Queen

We're all searching for the hidden Queen
For the hidden Queen, for the hidden Queen
We're all searching for the hidden Queen
For the hidden Queen, for the hidden Queen

10 ViP (Vinyadan Points) to the one who recognizes the song! [SM=x92702]

Seems fun!

Considering that you didn't, consciously, leave any clue on how do you want us to fill this thread, I thought about something: how if one of us choose a theme and then everyone shares his thoughts? Exactly like in school (abroad...): start with a given sentence and discuss it.

All of this while keeping in mind everyone's skills. Of course, these won't be academic discussions about rocket science or existentialism (or maybe yes, who knows? [SM=x92710] ), but I think it's one of the many possibilities offered by Claudium's "training and writing as much as possible" [SM=x92710] One step ahead of small talks and two behind university lectures would be fine.

Regarding clues...I have absolutely no idea of which song Vinyadan is talking about [SM=x92713] Any suggestions? Maybe my memory is only a little foggy... [SM=x92712]

Anyway, if all of you agree with my proposal, Claudium, in my humble opinion, is the one, as the thread starter, who have to open the ball.

...

(And yes, if everyone was wandering about it, this post is the result of the absence of every other ideas in my head except for the one up here [SM=x92706] )

I didn't change the first line [SM=x92702] and it's one of the most famous English songs ever by the greatest British band ever.

Looking at it right now, all makes sense; it wasn't fog but sea foam. With yellow reflexes coming from below [SM=x92702]

Edit: below is more accurate.

As you all may have realized, this matter involving the patient transcends the limits of psychiatry as we know it. We are not dealing with the effects of trauma, or the demons of the subconscious.

At least, not in the terms we are used to.

We are dealing with something old. Something dark.

A sinister truth, that has been buried deep for generations. A threat to the mental sanity that has crossed through the centuries hidden in plain sight...the americans! [SM=x92706]

Sorry, I am not so keen on music to be able to recognise that song. Are they "The Beatles", anyway?

X DragonKnight

It is a good suggestion, DK. My desire is only writing in English, so I do not care for topics or other stuff. You can talk about Egyptian math exactly as football stats [SM=x92702]

Actually, I have met kind Americans that were able to express themselves in a proper way; on the other hand, in London you can meet scumbags coming from the surroundings who know only words such as "fuck" or "ehi, man!" [SM=x92706]

Wow! Good English from Wineadan and DragonKnight (and the unique who have the name in English) [SM=x92706] .
In this thread are missing: Trebmuh Ittoram, Sun Solar Cavalier Knight, Ouginou-DiSi, NightLord (another name in english), Dragon.89 and other who wants speak in english.

I have lunch! I come back after lunch or... perhaps [SM=x92706] .

Ostri forget a good dose og s-hit for perfect american language. Eh yes...

I love google translator than dictionary. More worse than me exists only mr. Renzi.

Perhaps it's better that I open a section on "How to fall a horse without stay there thin" [SM=x92712] [SM=x92712] .

P.S. I did not remember this english words: words, worse, Renzi, to fall, [SM=x92706], [SM=x92712] . Thx Google translator!

Guys, please... I know that Ostri was the first one who started to speak "American" but it is already complicated to write being focused; I let you imagine if we write wrong on purpose [SM=x92706]

Following the DragoKnight's proposal, what do you think about the "Brexit case"?

I was here when it happened and - apart from the fact that it is a great mess for my girlfriend and for my money, in order to convert them into Euros - the British realized what fucking mess they have done only a few days later. The day before they were drinking tea as nothing has happened...

The idiot who rented this apartment before me removed one of the wardrobe doors and stored it on top of it. Now I am attempting to grab a 50 kg wooden board with a mirror attached to lower it some 2.50 m to the ground. This is really bad.

How many languages do you speak, Vinyadan? Italian, English, German, French... and considering your thesis I guess "Volgare" too [SM=x92706]
Vinyadan

I only speak German and English as foreign languages, I can read French but I can't really communicate in it, I don't really know the grammar and I have used it so little that I have all German words that come up when I try to speak it. Sometimes immigrants who can't speak Italian ask me about train directions in French and I start speaking this weird language where I decline German words as if it were French. What's weirder is that they actually understand what I say [SM=x92708]

I bring you a fabulous musical piece.

Turn around, look at what you see

In her face the mirror of your dreams

Make believe, I'm everywhere

Given in the light written on the pages

Is the answer to a never ending story

Ah, reach the stars, fly a fantasy

Dream a dream and what you see will be

Rhymes that keep their secrets

Will unfold behind the clouds

And there upon a rainbow

Is the answer to a never ending story

Ah, story, ah

Show no fear for she may fade away

In your hand the birth of a new day

Rhymes that keep their secrets

Will unfold behind the clouds

And there upon a rainbow

Is the answer to a never ending story

Ah, never ending story, ah

Never ending story, ah

Never ending story, ah

Translated into Italian is not very nice, because it loses its linguistic charm. Is not it? It is a text that makes you dream, but do not forget to keep our feet on the ground. Sorry for my bad English. To be continued...

In english I can be Batman or Superman (DC comics).
The english version of Ostri is very fast because the name is similar to ostrich = road runner = beep beep.

If Ettore Fieramosca was a soldier of fortune rather than a soldier of luck then the real surname of the english version of Simona is Fortune.

And now a little talk about Tolkien. The leader of nazgul is the WITCH king. Witch is used both for male and female, but lately they use only the term WARLOCK for a male witch. Poor nazgul is now a woman in recent language.
Also where is Sauron's wife? Without wife he should use "master" as title, so Master of the rings rather than Lord of the rings! The italian title is wrong too.
